Cookie Policy

How PIMA uses necessary browser storage and optional analytics, and how to accept, reject or change your choice.

Key considerations

  • Analytics stays off until you accept it.
  • You can reject analytics and continue using the website and forms.
  • Privacy settings in the footer lets you change your choice at any time.

Your choice

PIMA separates the technologies needed to operate and protect the website from optional measurement. The initial notice offers equally accessible options to accept or reject analytics. No analytics events are sent while you have not chosen or have rejected.

Use Privacy settings in the footer to reopen the controls. Withdrawing consent stops new analytics events, clears the analytics session information from your browser and cancels pending analytics requests where possible. It does not retract events already received. You can ask about relevant data through privacy@pima.com.pt.

Storage used by this website

Local storage and session storage are browser technologies distinct from cookies. They are included here because they also store information on your device. PIMA uses the following entries:

EntryPurposeDuration
pima.analytics.consent.v1Necessary local storage recording your accepted or rejected analytics choice and its expiry.180 days, unless cleared or replaced when you change your choice.
pima.analytics.session.v1Optional session storage containing random analytics identifiers and session timing, created only after acceptance.Removed on rejection or when the browser tab session ends. Identifiers rotate after 30 minutes of inactivity or 24 hours.

What optional analytics measures

With consent, PostHog receives selected page views, reading milestones, active reading time, navigation and enquiry outcomes. Events use a page path or slug, language, session or page-view identifiers and predefined action labels. This helps assess the usefulness of information and the operation of the enquiry forms.

Form answers, names, email addresses, telephone numbers and message contents are excluded. Raw referrers, URL query strings and fragments are not sent. PIMA does not use session replay, automatic interaction capture or identified visitor profiles. Analytics identifiers are temporary rather than persistent identifiers for recognising returning visitors.

Your choice concerns analytics only. It is not consent to receive marketing or have your enquiry forwarded to a professional. Those matters are handled separately.

Website and form security

Cloudflare provides website delivery and protection. Turnstile processes technical security signals when checking form requests. This protection helps prevent automated abuse and is separate from optional analytics. Turnstile pre-clearance is disabled on PIMA, so that feature is not used to create a clearance cookie.

Security processing may still involve browser and network information, including IP address and request characteristics. Cloudflare’s Turnstile notice explains its role and the relevant signals. Refusing optional analytics does not disable necessary form protection.

Browser settings and legal framework

You can inspect and remove stored site data through your browser settings. Clearing the consent entry means PIMA will ask you to choose again and keep analytics off in the meantime. Browser history, cache, autofill and any messages you send by email are separate from the storage listed above.

Article 5 of Law No. 41/2004 governs storing or accessing information on a user’s device. It provides for prior informed consent and limited exceptions for transmission or a service expressly requested. PIMA uses consent for optional analytics and retains your preference so that it can respect your choice.

The Privacy Policy describes recipients, retention and individual rights. Contact privacy@pima.com.pt with questions about these technologies.
